On Saturday, September 17, 2005 Corfu held it's first Gay Corfu Pride Party.
The event, the first of it's kind on the great green island, was held at Elia Taverna at Myrtiotissa Beach, the now famous nude and gay beach. 60 (!) gay men and their friends attended and danced to the sounds of the well known DJ DIMOS. His selection of music kept all on the dance floor for hours.
Franky, Tom and Stefan hosted the party at the taverna brightly painted in the special corfiot red color. The rainbow flags were evident as well as decorative ribbons in the rainbow colors. The event was festive and a very happy time was had by all.
